Takata Airbag Recalls

By now you’ve probably heard of the Takata airbag recalls. 34 million vehicles were recalled because of potentially lethal airbags, making it the biggest recall in the history of the world. A few people across the globe have died from these airbags exploding at random.Carmakers are figuring out the best possible solutions to ensure everyone’s protection. Overall, it’s been a very difficult situation.

To start, retrieve the VIN number or serial number of your vehicle. This 17-digit number will be on your sales paperwork and can also be found in the lower left corner of the front windshield (read from the outside) as well as the drivers’ door jam when the door is open. Get this number and go to the recall website shown below.

The NHTSA website allows drivers to search safety recalls by year, make, model and VIN. Visit the website and do a little research on your vehicle.

Taking just a few minutes to make sure your vehicle is safe could save your life, or it could save a loved one. Please encourage your family and friends to visit this website, because this is a big deal and I want as little people to be negatively affected by this as possible.
