There are picnic tables, 2 concession stands, and a playground full of slides, swings, and and other equipment to keep the young ones entertained. Liberty Park is a great place to play sports, picnic, stroll, or just relax and take in the lovely setting.

This one-story Gothic revival house was designed by Frank Willis, a british-born architect who also designed the Chapel of the Cross in Madison. The house, which was built circa 1852, is one of the few remaining examples of Gothic vernacular architecture, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

This 7-acre park features picnic tables, benches, a playground, and a one mile lighted walking trail. The 1-acre lake with ducks and geese is a fun place for for children to go fishing. The park is also home to the Strawberry Patch Meeting Hall and Chapel.

Housed in an historic 1895 Romanesque Revival school building, the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center hosts a wide variety of performing, visual, decorative art, and educational programs. Dance, music, lectures, and performances featuring regional, national, and international talent, are staged in the elegant and intimate 395-seat theater. Permanent exhibits include an Arts and Crafts gallery, a restored 19th century schoolroom, the Piedmont History Exhibit, and the Boxwood Parlor featuring period furniture from 1850.

A 10-acre green space reserve, the Simmons Arboretum features rustic trails that wind through small hills and wetlands with bridge, swinging bridges, and an overlook. Keep an eye out for one “well sunken road” that is believed to be part of the original Trace road system. There are well-marked signs throughout the arboretum that identify the native Mississippi plants, trees, and shrubs.
