What’s Covered in the Kia K5 Warranty?

Kia Basic Warranty

The Kia Basic Warranty, which includes the Kia bumper to bumper warranty, ensures that your Kia K5 is covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles after your vehicle’s first service date (whichever comes first). This warranty takes care of everything except wear and tear damage and maintenance. But to be sure of everything the warranty does and does not cover, check your K5 owner’s manual. It will have updated information for your model and trim.

Kia Limited Powertrain Warranty

Kia offers 10-year/10,000 mile powertrain warranty coverage that starts after your K5’s first date of service. Similar to the basic warranty, the Kia powertrain warranty does not cover wear and tear or maintenance. However, it does offer coverage for all of the following:

• Engine: Cylinder block, cylinder head and all internal parts, timing gear, seals and gaskets, valve cover, oil pump, water pump, flywheel, and turbo charger
• Transaxle: Drive shafts, bearings, seals and gaskets, front hubs, and universal joints
• Axle: Axle shafts and C-V joints, hub and wheel bearings, and seals
• Transmission: Transmission case, seals, gaskets, torque converter and all internal parts, and transfer case
• Differential: Front and rear differential assemblies, cases, all internal parts, and seals and gaskets
• Propeller Shaft: Universal joints and drive shafts

Is Kia Warranty Transferable?
